Go down to camden during the day and hang around the markets especailly the stables one and you get lots of people who ill give you good answers.
Also not a nightclub but centre of the festival / rave psi-trance scene
www.accessallareas.org
best at SEONE venue. (go early slow q)
The toilet is the size of a small club...
It has 6 rooms each as big as major clubs and these events are more like a festival with markets, various music, cafes the works.
Very good culture, very safe... hippy like in a way...
You can try Whirly gig (nice but much smaller) see same site.
http://www.whirl-y-gig.org.uk/
Novelty clubs include
www.carwash.co.uk Carwash being a 70s 80s club where you have to be dressed up (the more ott the better or in other fancy dress).
Have to pre book too.
Also they have a swimming pool and jacquzzi, lots of hen, stage, 18th ans 21st brithday groups
Oh did I mention the pool?
dress code there is simply not the main outfit... all else (or lack of)goes.
www.schooldisco.com sats... guess the dress code? 70s 80s 90s
in hammersmith
(look up nightbusses to get home)
For wilder events try
www.thechurch.co.uk for mad backpackers club on a sunday afternoon... see the pictures very wild and rauchy and naughty. (go in fancy dress... if you go in kilt girls will paw you)
www.ocotberfestpub.com on the first sunday of the months... Jelly wrestle night... the girls see more of the guys as the girls in the pit play rough... poor dude dont stand a chance.
www.clubstarkers.com yes the dress code is what you think it is... or lack of and is more 'grown up'
Rock and skatepunk/nu metal music used to be Camden Palace (now koko) then got taken over but have new night on sat comming up ... check out or rockscene at the dome in tufnel park (oppstation)
Or sin city at electric ballroom behind camden station on a Friday.
or Mean Fideler... not sure which day behind tottenham court road station.
Or ithe Redback Tavern in Action (another backpacker palce) see TNT magazine
All have good nightbus routes |

Southall should be OK for an Indian meal ot a Bollywood film.
Get into the Soho area of London. |

Southall isn't the most happening spot but why not check out some of the online guides to see what's on in London.
It's the sort of place where you can find something fun, interesting or unusual to do any day of the week.
If you like live music, check out an online gig guide to find some great bands. I use this one...
http://www.seetickets.com/gat/index.asp
Or check out something like timeout or...
http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/whats-on.php
If you're looking for a good pub/bar then use this one...
http://www.london-drinking.com/
Soho is a great central spot, but can be an expensive night out. Clapham is a popular spot for a nice night out and there are pleny of young profs about if you're looking for drinking buddies.
Good thing you don't mind travelling, have you thought of moving somewhere closer to the centre or somewhere more happening? Islington, Clapham, Fulham and Camden are great if you like a buzzy life or Richmond & Kingston are still happening enough but allow you a bit more space. |

Hey,
Sorry to hear that you are unable to find good night life. I personally go to Soho, it is a great area, the people are friendly, the drinks are good and also there is loads of ways to get home from there. if you want the name of some pubs and clubs just send me an email and i will be glad to send you back a list. Good luck and hope you get nicely hammered one night soon!

There are loads of pubs & clubs in Ealing & Acton in & around the Uxbridge Road area & i would recommend The Priory nightclub & The Boulevard nightclub at Ealing Broadway; also there is a busy pub called "The Bell" which is situated just opposite The Priory & plays good club music. There is a pub recently opened in Acton called "The Chatsworth" on the Uxbridge Road which has a disco on a friday & saturday night and is open til around 1am. If you're into techno, then i would recommend The Captain Cook in Acton Vale. |

Unfortunately I don't know of anything interesting to do in Southall - to be honest 20 years ago it wouldn't have even been considered a part of London - you're really on the outskirts there.
However, try http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/ - they'll list everything from bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, events, parks, concerts, museums, cinemas, festivals, experiences, etc. in the Greater London area. It's a better website than londontown and london-eating, allinlondon, etc. |
