How Can We help Stop The Gang Violence In London?

its getting out of hand

Get the kids to quit seeking "belonging" with the wrong groups. Get the bullys to quit picking on others. Teach them to respect and courteous to one another. They need to be primed to live in a society, and that is the responsibility of their parents. Parents need to parent their children.

wonkyfella
Teach kids that respect is earned, not demanded.

gasman
load up the millenium dome with machine guns, machetes, axes, crossbows etc.then round up all the gangs and leave them in there till the last one is standing..then shoot him.

jduck1979
Start bugging your local politicians + councillors to stamp-out the political correctness affecting the Police these days, and tell them to get on with their jobs with some proper Zero-Tolerance policing.

.
I agree, it is way out of hand now. Young people get killed by wreckless thugs nearlly everyday. Well everyday I hear something about someone getting killed, by a gang - normally shot or stabbed or literally beaten to death.
Gang violence isn't just in London though, Its nearlly everywhere.

I think it's difficult for us to do anything about it really. I think it's mainly down to their parents, who I have to say in most cases aren't raising their children properly.

Secondly schools need to start bringing better younger role models into schools to set an example coz no one listens to old teachers. What I mean is they could get together a couple of people who used to be involved in gang violence to come and talk to school children. That way they would have people their own age who understand it more than the adults would. And they could do activities with them and stuff like that.

Basically a lot of the people who join gangs aren't even bad people, it's just the only option they feel they have, and they need to be taught that it isn't the only option and everyone around them needs to give them the right education and the right type of attention.

Woah I wrote a lot lol. But also we need to focus on the younger generation and make sure we help them before it's too late...not that it's ever too late, but you know.

ITS that EXACT mentality that is driving these kids to become worse!"!!!!!!!Aww poor poor kiddies widdies lets give them some candy floss some love and a G*UN
I have had things happen in my childhood but do you see me threatening and killing and stabbing and shooting and stealing and drug taking NO!
I am poor at the moment, going through a lot with my hubbyI don't have much of a life right now.. and both my parents DIED within the last 3 years.
I didn;t get the help I needed at school but you know what?
I work damm boody hard, i dont drink or steal and you know what???at 16 we didn't have the £30 a week E.M.A
what a load of B.S.all this hug a damm hoody. I tell you what you wanna come down to Walthamstow where 11 year olds are stabbing 14 year olds!!! and 15 year olds are RAPING 90 yr old ladies.
They have much more now than ever before and what they do?? throw it back in our face..
What they DONT realise is that you Dont just get respect
you EARN IT.
I WILL NEVER respect them. Why should I feel sorry for them when they are the ones that think they own the busses and make hard working people's journeys HELL.
These kids need to be taught a lesson, not given freebies like money and free bus passes. My Life was pretty sh it but you don;t go round BLAMING everyhing on colour or race or school or the lack of respect or the police. Thats just a lazy excuse.
Get them off their backsides and let our government show them WHAT RESPE|C|T is:
You go to school you get a job and you WORK like every one ELSE. Period. They aint special. yes where are the parents? but its our government that are the wussies.
Don't do the crime if you cant do the time. no excuse,

you cant, the only thing you can do is teach them right from wrong when they are children and hope thats enough for them to learn from. if by the time they are teenagers and they are violent it was probably something from their childhood that triggered it off and theres nothing that can be done about it. they will grow out of it but until then we just have to put up with it. only they can change themselves.

*i myself have had a horrible life not one thing has gone right for me ive got noone or nothing left, i dont go around doing the things gangs do either but what im saying is some of them dont have the determination to get up and do something about it. a lot of them will use it as an excuse as they dont know any different, if i wasnt so determined to make a better life for myself i would have probably turned out the same way as them. ive lived in south east london all my life ive witnessed things like that day in day out all my life so i know exactly what its like but i stopped myself from being like them. so theres no need making out like youre the only one, lifes a *****, tough, **** happens people turn out bad others get over it. theres nothing that can be done about it! your opinion wont change a single thing
