How come buses are either early, late or dont show up at all?

Early:- because the driver and conductor want to get their breakfast/lunch/dinner, so they fly the route.
Late:- because they stop along the way to get their fags (cigs) or a cup of tea.
Don't show:- they have stopped and are chatting up a couple of the female (or male as the case may be) pax, so that they can go on a date.

that tends to happen if you are trying to catch one on the middle of its route because theres a set time that the bus must leave and arrive at its FINAL location so the middle they just slack off

Early buses? With our roads? Ahahaha. Unheard of. The early bus is the one in front running VERY LATE. You will find that no buses come for an hour and then 4 arrive all at once :-)

Its the law of supply and demand. Demand something and you do not get it

I am reminded of the story when one day a train arrived at a station in time and one surprised passenger asked the station master how come the train is on time ? The station master replied Msiter It is yesterdays train which has just arrived.

So I think it is we have to adjust our watch everytime so that the buses are exactly on time always. Let us not look at things with jaundiced eyes .
With so much of traffic congestion and mad rush and unannounced hold ups and rallies on the roads with pit holds on the road and the badly maintained condition of buses it is a wonder that we at least sight buses. The timings were set based on some average speed a long time ago and needs to be revised.
I read somewhere that in a court the judge observed that all the parts of the modern motor vehicles make noise except the horn.
Any how I find you are taken for a ride by all YAHHHOOIANS

sorry,what is a bus?

debergeracvat
Ah. Good question. You see, long long ago, so long ago, nobody knows how long ago, there lived a bus driver who one day ran over a kid. The kid's mum happened to be a witch and his dad a watchmaker. So they came up with a combined curse- that no bus driver in future would be able to know the time well. It may seem a little ineffectual, but the mum was only in training, you know. Anyway they did their best, and hey, of all the wonders the curse worked. So, you see.. this is why no bus driver today.....

THATS BECAUSE WHEN WE ARE EARLY THE BUS COMES LATE
WHEN WE ARE LATE THE BUS COMES EARLY
WHEN WE ARE ON THE CORRECT TIME THE BUS WON'T SHOW UP AT ALL.
HEHEHE

Monkey
that's due to normal behaviour of Buses.
it's simply their way of living!

captainblackeye_au
Buses need people to drive them. People aren't perfect so therefore whilst buses rely on people to drive them they will never be on time all the time.

rami
because they know, tht we r there

Caz
When it's raining the buses are packed and have to stop at all the stops which makes them late. When it's a good day more people walk and the bus doesn't stop so much making them early. And If the bus is late then two come one after the other making a large gap between the two buses, therefore we think that they haven't shown up. The solution? Buy a car!
