Manchester International Airport lies south of Manchester between Greater Manchester and the Borough of Macclesfield. I would guess it's slightly nearer to liverpool than Manchester but not by much. I would guess about 35 miles. |

Closer to Liverpool? I can walk to the airport in 5 Min's from my mums. Traffic is never a problem there are at least 4 exits you can use off M56 to get there. |

Just over thirty miles but if travelling by car allow plenty time as traffic around Manchester Airport can be very heavy at all times of the day. |

Yep...35.5, or thereabouts miles from the Liver Birds. Leopold...Manc. Airport is just south of Wythenshawe (Manchester postal district 22)...it may even be in Wythenshawe, but as the district is - er - infamous and council estate heaven (or hell, depending on who or what you are), I suspect Ringway PR boys & girls keep that out of their jazz-up. It is, actually 11 miles from the centre of Manchester. How on earth can the airport be closer to Liverpool? |
