Hi ,
It depends how fast you drive or how fast the train is going,ie if you drive at a steady 60mph (1 mile every minute) it will take you 10 minutes to do ten miles so if you drive at 30mph it will take you 20 mins to do ten miles.

If you travel by car at 80mph you will get there in 7.5mins.... you'll get a speeding ticket even faster. |

Doesn't matter how you travel. At one mile per hour it's 10 hours!! Work the rest out in your own time! X |

Depends on the speed you are travelling at |

About 10 miles give or take.
Why does it matter what mode of transport you use, 10 miles is 10 miles
You cant give me a thumbs down, you asked how far is 10 miles
Why is everyone concerned with time, the questioner asked how far is 10 miles, read the fvcking question. This is why people fail at exams because they dont read questions |

Jet Set - 10 miles in London is always at less than 10 miles per hour during the day and evening. It only speeds up after 8pm and by 6am it's back to a crawl. Considering, a water main burst, an accident or planned road works are on your route, it can take as much as 2 hours or more to travel one mile. As for the trains, you have to avoid rush hour travel as this is when you can guarantee a broken down train, signal defects and one unders. Therefore, one or two hours stood up in a train full of smelly and sweaty people that have never heard of personal hygiene is quite likely. In an ideal situation (roads clear), 10 miles should only take 20 minutes at 30 miles per hour (30mph). If anybody has ever travelled 10 miles in 20 minutes or less between 6am and 8pm, contact the Guiness Book of Records as it has never been done in the history of transport in London. As for train, it should only take between 10 to 15 minutes. However, if you mean the Underground, that would depend on which line and which stretch of line as they all run at different speeds due to age of the line, age of the trains, bends in tunnels etc. On average, you're looking at around 20 to 25 minutes by tube (not accounting for any delays). |

If you were travelling at 10 miles per hour (which is unlikely) it would take you 1 hour. |

If I'm driving, 6 /7 mins.
If my girlfriend is driving, about 15 mins!
On a train, probably ages, never been on one. |

Regardless of how you're travelling:
Distance = Speed multiplied by Time
Time = Speed divided by Distance
Speed = Distance divided by Time |

All depends number of factors. Is the train a slow or express, is it calling at all stations, is it going around a different way to reach its destination? As for the car journey again are you using M, A, B, C or dirt tracks, how congested is the road, time of day, speed of permissable travel, obstructions in road like speed calming measures, traffic lights, roundabouts, juctions, etc.
Normally if it was a straight run on a train sticking to the average 75mph speed limit on a fast urban line in the London area, then about 7mins. For a car travelling on A road with a 60mph speed limit then about 10mins.
Hope this helps. |
