How hard would it be to invade England?

5 minutes max?
2 minutes to nuke London, Manchester, and Newcastle.
The rest in 3.
What do you guys think?
Don't forget that our military is a superpower and yours doesn't stand a chance against ours.

You are suffering from something, I do not know what it is but you have got some bizarre symptoms. I will not qualify your delusional dribble with an answer.

Ooohh how scary, are you going to lead an invasion of American boy bands? You are delusional, warped, sad, and stupid, you insolent coward, and quite obviously suffer from small man's disease. Get a life loser. Your mother must be so proud of her braindead bully....

Much longer than it took you to invade Iraq.

We have nukes to, we have the worlds best trained army, a strong navy and a very good air force. You have weight of numbers, we have skill.

What's more, we'd have allies, and you wouldn't.

Nuking, and thus just destroying us, wouldn't be that hard, invading us would be very difficult.

If you used nukes the radiation would be too bad for you to try to invade for a few decades anyway.

what a stupid question

We could easily assign 3 missiles to each target and have a very affective reserve force for any other contingency. We would therefore prevail and suffer only modest and acceptable civilian causalities from their remaining force which would be badly damaged and uncoordinated.

Why would we (we being the freedom loving US I assume) need to?

The country is already under US occupation with many military bases, plus anytime the US government says jump, the UK does.

Americans never stop talking about how they saved Britain from the Nazis in WWII. But they never mention how much that the US charged for it, taking land and money in exchange. The money debt took over 60 years to pay back, the rest is still being paid back.

The UK is spending billions and lives on supporting the US's madcap military adventures in Iraq just so Americans get cheap fuel to drive their SUVs.

What more could you get by invasion?

As for the US being a military superpower. Oh yeah. That accounts for your amazing successes in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq ...

It would be hard because if you think the world hates us now, if we invade the UK we'll have them really up our tails. Besides, they are our only allies in the Oil Pipeline War.

About 3 Months, thats how long it takes to prepare to invade any country by US forces. Though the civilian populace wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight as the civilians are unarmed and their current military averages 20,000.

I would say about 6 months and we would have complete military domination over England. About 2-3 years to quell the population with small insights of protests but no real attempts to fight back after the initial military domination.

The only people who would actually put up a fight are the IRISH and that would be if we invaded the UK completely.

We wouldn't use nuclear missiles but tactical airstrikes and maybe a few cruise missiles. We are learning that airstrikes only do so much. Its all about ground invasion and properly trained troops. Nuclear weaponry is an equal opprotunity weapon. If one person launches, everyone launches. Plus the area would be unusable and the radiation/fallout would flow into other surrounding countries.

Though the rest of europe would probably ally against us. Although they wouldn't stand a chance, the econimical implications would be disasterous and there would be signicant problems with the US keeping stability.

You don't make friends easily, do you?

dude.
you have overlooked a few things, 1...the British have nukes too, goodbye, New York,....2....The British military is still one of the worlds best and it's navy is number 2, they do know how to fight back....

Any British Prime Minister would immediately nuke every single major city in the United States, did you forget about our nukes? (Oh and don't think you could try to eliminate our nukes in a pre-emptive strike because they're all submarine based).
