For me, there was nothing better than coming home to the UK after spending five months in the US at college. The UK may be a bit crappy in places and have its fair share of problems but I believe that with sensible governing it can become much better again. So yes, it's home and I have no intention of going anywhere else!

Already left. I'll come back when we have a government that is prepared to fight for it back. I'll stand toe to toe with my sisters and fight for the right to wear whatever I want, short skirts, show my legs, low cut tops, show my boobs, etc.

Only thing is, I don't think it will happen, our politicians will just sit back and let the Muslims take over. Eventually they will be the majority, then they will govern, then they will pass laws that say women must cover from head to foot, or face Sharia law, get stoned to death. Whilst the men walk around in shorts and T shirts, f.ck prostitutes, leaving their uneducated wives at home, covered from head to toe.

Fight against it I will, but only if our government does something to back us. But they won't. Good night and kisses

I would if I could...

in the next 5-10 years, definately.

it's crazy the amount of people leaving now, seems like everyone I know is emigrating or knows someone who is.

Those that can get into Australia or NZ go there and those who can't just take the easy option and go to the one of the English communities in Spain.

but unlike all the people moving on because the country has apparently gone to the dogs and life has become so terrible, I don't hate it here - I just want to move on and expand my horizons.

Pedantic Scorpion
I never want to leave. Grab it back? From whom????

merciasounds
Left last year for Switzerland, only come back here to see family/friends. 10 years of Labour has turned this country into the ar*ehole of Europe....glad i'm gone

AndyG45
Those of you leaving, do you need a hand packing so you can be gone more quickly?

Our country is, and always has been, a 'mongrel' nation and is all the richer for it. And Starsky is right, but missed part of the point - when you get 'there', wherever it is, you will be one of the foreigners yourself!!

the ones who want to leave should just go.....quicker the better.
the ones with a backbone and pride should stay and make this country ours again.

Gone part way. Left the urban sprawl with all the drugs and anti social behaviour for a beautiful village in the country. At my age thats about as far as I will get.

We're too overrun now. There's no chance of grabbing it back anymore. Since they're all going to end up coming over here, maybe we should all go over there and start a new England? At least it'd be warmer!

I'm Scottish and me and my husband are currently looking into emigrating to Australia. Hopefully within the next 12 months if all goes to plan.

I left the UK about six years ago and am working in South East Asia. Believe me there are just as many people who want to leave the country that I now live and work in - and I can't blame them.
Every country has its detractors and gainsayers, for whatever reason, and to many the grass is always greener...but in the words of Gershwin it ain't necessarily so.
In a few years when I have completed what I came to do i will be back in the UK and away from this semi-dictatorship that I know live in.
Look around you and remember what you have - freedom of speech, free and fair elections, reasonable TV and radio, great live entertainment of all kinds, sensible road users who are not intent on running pedestrians over The police force is fair and honest (in the main), there are functioning emergency response services - fire and ambulance - who will turn up and do their duty without demanding a 'service fee'.
The overwhelming majority of civil servants are honest and perform their functions to the benefit of society.
There are no extra-judicial killings by the police (OK one or two very regret able incidents but not on the scale of most other non-EU countries.

So look around you, use your thinking skills and appreciate what is on your very doorstep.

"to try and grab it back"; from whom ? So are you leaving England to escape the hordes of invading foreigners who are obviously responsible for England's downfall in recent years.
Well here's some news for you.....everything outside of England is full of foreigners.

I love my country - Scotland, it will ALWAYS be my home but I too want to leave due to the greedy government and all the laws that have been brought in over the years to protect immigrants and hand them our hard earned money through the system. Why oh why cant this country as a whole, be like the rest of the world and only allow people in who can actually benefit us? I don't mean any disrespect to those people who have come here and actually work but these people have also taken jobs from proper BRITISH folk who should be first choice when it comes to BRITISH jobs. I don't want to leave but I want my son to grow up in a fairer society and if I have to work all the harder to give him that then so be it!

Desperately want to go to Spain...

Not working here as I refuse to pay tax to fund meglomaniac governments.

Sick of the government treating its natives like second class citizens.. Wasting our time and money on stupid laws that serve no purpose whilst real issues are ignored.

Think I will sit on benefits till I have taken every tax £ back whilst I learn Spanish then I will sod off.. Let them have it.
