How many train stations are there in newcastle?

What do you mean by "train"? Heavy rail (ie the old British Rail) or light rail (the Metro). Do you include the heritage steam railways?

What do you mean by "Newcastle"? The City Centre or the whole city?

So there are variety of answers.

Incidentally, those who claim there is just one (heavy rail) station in Newcastle (being Newcastle Central) are forgetting about Manors on the north-eastern edge of the city centre!

Newcastle Central is the only major station. Manors station is to the East but is only served by limited services. Haymarket, Monument metro stations are quite central, plus others
