o i ca;lled them no probs max price 4.50 from county thistle hotel opposite station

mark
Less than a fiver. You could walk it in 15 minutes...

Maud The Skivvy
About £4 I should think. It's just about 20 minutes walk, but if you're having health problems and can't walk that far then a taxi is a good idea.

gandyg
you could just get the Metro from Central Station to Haymarket and then walk up through the University. It is only two stops and will cost £1.30 single or £1.70 return. It will take about 5mins on Metro and then 5 mins or so from the metro station to the hospital

it will probably be about 5-6 quid depending on the time of the night and their tariffs. just be aware they may not take you as it may not be worth their while as they have to go to the back of the queue again. i once aked to be taken to the area and they refused. good luck!

ring taxi firm and ask.

deni
call taxi firms in your area and get them to give you quotes, we cant help you with that really, and if you are thinking of a black cab, their fare will depend on traffic and stuff, so i doubt even they could give an estimate
