Quite alot going to work

Five days a week.

I take the car from my rural outpost to a village on a nearby main road. I park the car and take the bus into Ayr for work.

S Csparky
taxis a lot buses on odd actions

Mordent
Almost every day. I rarely go anywhere by car.

I don't much like public transport though, it's too expensive.

Only ever if my car is in for a service. Half the time they don't turn up, and are generally full of uncouth kids when they do.

Daily - to get to work and go shopping - I have NO choice.

Because I don't have a car, I find my self using public transportation quite often.

Last time I used a bus was 1978 - It was late and I lost an hours pay from work.

Never again.

hardly ever it costs too much and i'd rather walk anyway

I used the bus the other day and it cost me a fortune.Where i live there is only one every hour and the one i waited for was 20 minutes late. The first bus leaves my town at 7.30 so its no good for getting to work if you happen to work out of town.
I live in a small coastal town with only one road access in, so basically at the end of the line. We have no train except for a tourist attraction steam train that doesn't actually connect up to anything, it stops in the middle of the countryside because there isn't anymore line laid down and it costs a small fortune to go just 5 miles.
On my bus trip i took a 22 mile journey, that by car takes about 20 min's i was sat on the bus for an hour and 20 minutes, because obviously as only one bus goes past every hour it goes all around the houses. I was not impressed and I shall not be using it again.
