17...but it's not nearly old enough!!!!

If I had it my way...no one under the age of 35 would be allowed to drive anywhere near pedestrians or amish!...

I love non drivers..but I don't like them enough to forgive them for making my life S*H*I*T.....!!!!!!

To learn to drive on the public roads in the UK you need to be 17, however you can be taught on private land by someone qualified if you are under the age 17. I learned to drive while I was 16 on an airfield in Tockwith, North Yorks that is used specifically for driving tuition.

They don't have a website, but here's the address and phone number:

Tockwith Multi Drive Centre
Tockwith Airfield
North Yorkshire

17 but apparently they are bringing a new law out that if you were born after either 1990 -91 (not quite sure of the year) but you will have to be much older, you will have to be either 18 or 21

Hello,
Depends what you want to drive, if its a motorcycle, you can drive it alone from 16, wirth the proper documentation, if you want to drive a car, you will have to have reached your 17th birthday, and will have to have L plates on whatever you drive. as well as lessons from an authorised tutor. good luck when you begin being a student driver, and take great heed to your instructor, I hope you pass your drivers proficiency test.... Bye... Tony M

the kids rounds my way are only about 12 or 13 and all drive. they have a strange habit of setting fire to their cars though.
