What is safe? I don't think anyone knows anymore...
Marble Arch and Hyde Park are pretty quite for pedestrians in General mostly Cars and buses passing though, in the summer the Park is busy so it safe enough...
Piccadilly is always buzzin so you have to watch your bags, wallets & pockets, thieves know it is full of tourists so they are always on the look out.
Paddington is a nice area don't know bout this ethnics Business that's a bit rude...
Can be a little sinister at night, but then where isn't.
Generally it is safer in the city and central london rather that out in North, South and East London.

Don't really know Paddington or Hyde Park, so can't comment.
Marble Arch is fairly safe, although I've found a lot of beggars and down-and-outs hanging around in the subways that are the only way to get across the roads around 'Marble Arch' itself. Haven't been there at night, but it's probably a bit less safe then.
Piccadilly Circus is also fairly safe, being in the middle of a very 'touristy' area. You may run into beggars, pickpockets or - late at night - rowdy types on a night out, but generally it's not too bad. Once you start wandering north into Soho, it gets a bit more sleazy and downmarket, but all the other surrounding areas - Leicester Square, Charing Cross, Regent Street - are better. |

Marble Arch, Piccadilly Circus and Hyde Park all popular with tourists and safe places. Paddington is also pretty safe. These are all very central so apart from tourists there is nothing to worry about. |

They're all pretty safe. just a few kid hoodies around Paddington/Queen's Way areas but nothing to worry about |

I havent heard much about them areas on the news i assume as someone has already said piccadilly has people coming out of clubs etc. Although someone told my mum that one of her exs had been stabbed in marble arch. other than that i think they are relativly safe. |

In the grand scheme of things they're all fairly safe. Paddington would probably be the worst - more so after nightfall. |

I'm with Jo-Anne M on Tottenham and Wood Green- I'd also like to add Edmonton, (or "Shanktown U.K.", as it's now known), to that list she gave ya, havin' been born there, and havin' lived there for nigh-on thirty years! :/ |

.Paddington is a bit dodgy, but the rest is alright (same risks as the rest of the world after dark). As long as you don't go near Tottenham, Wood Green, Hackney!! |

regionally safe, maybe you might get some troube round Piccadiy Circus after hours because of nightlife, paddington has a lot of ethnics so beware. |
