I guess you're mentioning the fact you're a gay man 'cos you want gay male things to do? If I'm right check out the links below.

You definitely have to pay a visit to Regent street, it is an amazing street ( a little expensive though )but they have extraordinary shops, cafés etc. Also Harrods is amazing ... because you can buy practically everything there ... you don't have to buy anything, you can just visit it. Also Speaker's corner can be great to. There is a lot more to see over there, like Covent Garden ... but preferably at night, it is so cosy and fun. London really is magical. I hope you have a good time ... and that guy who said that thing about gay people, should grow up ...

the same thing that a straight person would do

Ah, apart from the usual touristy stuff you can find about anywhere, and since I suppose there is a reason you said you were gay, here are the gay landmarks:

The heart of the gay world is Soho, especially Old Compton Street. The Admiral Duncan pub there is the traditional hangout; Retro Bar, on George Court, is more punk/rocky, and owned by Marc Almond, who can often be seen there. The Black Cap, in the High Street of Camden Town, is another nice pub, with a really neat roof garden if it's warm.

If you want to go out at night, the Trash Palace, on Wardour Street, and the Ghetto, next to Tottenham Court Road tube station, are really good, in the glamorous/eccentric style.

In general, though, London is very gay friendly, and, apart from the homeboy clubs, no one anywhere will care what gender you flirt with...

Wow...you're in for a treat! Wear good walking shoes because London is a superb walking city. Bring a good map of the city and begin. Be a happy tourist and first hop on one of the major red double decker tour buses which afford you a perfect overview of London and you can "hop on and off" as often as you please...some for two days! I love www.theoriginaltour.com ! Highlights (see www.londonwalks.com): National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Tate Modern Museum, London Eye, Covent Gardens (great shops n restaurants), St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, see a play!, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Tower of London.
Know London has many beautiful parks which can be your oasis when needing a rest. Kensington Gardens in one of the world's wealthiest areas - See Princess Di's Kensington Palace and shop Kensington High St. and wander up Church St. for boutiques and such. Nearby: Royal Albert Hall, Science Museum, Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum. Hyde Park connects to Kensington Gardens. Explore Chelsea for boutiques as well. St. James Park - beautiful, sole restaurant inside. Green Park - high tea at the Ritz, Fortnum & Mason, Picadilly Circus (think Times Square). Shopping streets: Oxford, Bond, check for weekly markets...BUY "TIMEOUT LONDON" weekly magazine. Boat trip on the Thames - a must. Don't forget - you can take the EUROSTAR Chunnel train to Brussels or Paris for day trips (2.5 hrs +/- each way!) Hope this helps. Have a fantastic time! :)

"Gay people suck"...your the reason I support abortion.

There's a place near the park in london called "speaker's corner" thats a really entertaining place to visit. Every weekend they've got some new issue that they want to talk about.
Perhaps you can go see a matinee (spelling?) showing of a play, they should be too expensive.
I'm sure there are plenty of clubs there if your into the whole clubbing scene.
I'm sorry its been about 6 years since I've been there. Honestly though, with 3 days to spend, there's soo much you can do that you'll have no problem finding something.
