I'm a Muslim. Why are there some people who think I can't be English too?

But Islam is religion not nationality. Of course you can.
Even you can born to for example Arabian parents and be English if you have citizenship.

Malaysia is a democratic Muslim country. religions and nationality are 2 different things. u can be a buddhist and still be caucasian rite? so wat's the difference here?. if u wanna be english and muslim at the same time.. then u are.

I guess it's all because generalisation. Europeans and Americans are considered as Christians because in their history Christianity was decisive and also because the vast majority is still Christian today.
Consequently, we think all Arabs are Muslims, all Africans are black, all Muslims are terrorists... etc.

Get one thing clear.. In my view an English person can become a muslim and is no longer really English. This is primarily an Anglo Saxon christian country that is being over run by any foreigner that feels like coming. If you are of Asian or African descent you are and never will be English, no matter how much you wish it.
So I move to Pakistan and call myself a Paki?? get real.

It is sad...but individual people have never been born as well-rounded; we have to work to understand and comprehend the global village in which we live. Some of us will experience that world in one place, as fish in a bowl, and others of us will swim the oceans...and we will intermingle with the world. For those who seek to understand the world and its citizens, you are not any label, but human. For the others, everything they encounter is foreign and mysterious if it is not a reflection of their reality.

Probably because you real allegiance is to the Islamic principle of converting the rest of the world, regardless of country. Events of recent years have shown that many Muslims have scant regard for (Christian) or non Muslim countries. Of course, there isn't one democratic Muslim country,
