LITTLE NUGGET

I'm from London and now live in Lincolnshire....why are the wages so insulting???? can anyone tell me???

people here in lincolnshire are trained up as good as London so why are they treated wage wise as SUCKERS????? Dont companies have respect and notice the hardworking genuine staff they employ as a London earner???????????

You only earned more in London because its a major city and the cost of living is higher, theoretically things are cheaper in Lincolnshire, rents are lower etc so wages fall in line with this.

Its the same worldwide, if you went from NYC to New Hampshire or Paris to Calais you'd expect to take a pay cut.

chip2001
It's more likely that you were previously paid extra for the "privilege" of living in London and paying the inflated prices for everything there.

Everything is relative.

Well you have a choice :
You can either be poor in Lincolnshire or rich in London. I'd rather be poor in Licolnshire as I can afford more there.

claire
I live here in Lincolnshire as well. The cost of living, as I'm sure you have found, is nowhere near what its like in London.

GB
when in rome.

You should try Wales.....top earners get less than I did in the 80's....mind you the minimum wage has actually driven down earnings

'Er indoors!!
You should try Cornwall, the poorest county in England, everyone is on minimum wage, yet house prices, and the cost of living, are in comparison with London. They say that tourism is good for the economy, but only benefits rich hoteliers, restaurant owners, and people who own businesses. The staff on the bottom rung of the ladder, who actually do the work get get nothing but minimum wage, whilst their bosses get rich on tourism, but that's England!!!

It's cheaper to live out of London. Rets and house prices are cheaper and you don't waste petrol in traffic jams. It's healthier too.

happy
It's so cheap to live in Lincolnshire, also it's very flat so you won't need to use as much petrol, thus saving you money.
