Hi, London is a violent city with much more street crime than New York. Whilst there is a lot of history to see it is very expensive and dirty with beggars always hassling you. The police seem more interested in being politically correct rather than keeping the streets safe. Just today on the news a judge has not jailed a paedophile because the Home Secretary no longer thinks that such crimes warrant prison due to overcrowding.

Our country faces muslim terrorists and a weak government which seems incapable of ensuring your safety.

Please visit the London sights but be careful and then look to study elsewhere in the UK.

Don't speak to anyone you don't know, don't expect anyone in shops to return your greeting, or in most cases to even acknowledge your presence during the whole transaction. Do expect officials to be rude, stupid and indifferent, and when all reason and logic have failed, to use lines like, 'I don't make the rules', and, should you be incited, by their snarling incompetence to raise your voice a few decibels, then expect to be tear-gassed by a spam-faced retard with some handcuffs and a badge. Don't go near children or young people - most of them are armed and dangerous. Don't try and travel on public transport - you won't be able to afford it, in addition to which, it rarely runs and if it does, you'll risk being robbed, stabbed, raped or all three by your fellow passengers. Don't try and go out for a jolly night with friends - you will be bullied and overcharged for a plate of genetically-engineered vegetables and condemned meat in some recently refurbished eatery staffed by hostile ten year olds from Australia, if you try to go to a pub, you will be frisked by a semi-criminal with brain damage at the door, before being pushed into a room of braying louts, all of whom have cheerfully been served with gaseous lager by the Management, and will lcontinue to be so, until closing time, at which point the Management will use threats, violence and theft to persuade them to go home, which they won't do -choosing instead to remain in the streets fighting with the police force funded by the people who make a living selling lager to violent thugs. Don't imagine that England is anything like the films you've seen - every last trace of humanity, good humour and decency was wrung out of us several decades ago. I'd stay at home, in fact.

In terms of what? Think how difficult it would be to answer the question 'what are the cultural norms in the US' - there are a great many different answers!

Pretty much the same as the US, except people are more tolerant of different cultures. I guess people are less religious on average too.

Drink! lol.. I didn't see any fights when I was there.. But everyone in London seemed to mind their own. If your on a bus, noone will talk to you and they are almost kinda rude it feels. haha probably because not everyone in London even speaks English! They have a way more diverse setting then the US.

when in London one must conduct oneself in a manner appropriate the establishment to which he is visiting. For example it would not be considered acceptable to dress in a casual manner when attending any of the museums, art galleries or churches in the city centre, however casual dress would be expected if one was going to a public house or casual restaurant (MC Donald's for example).
Although London is more dear than the rest of the country, haggling is not usual except in markets etc; certainly it would not be allowed in shops such as Harrods.

The English women are not as gung ho for Women's Lib as the USA Women. The English Women enjoy a bit of sexual harassment. It's all part of being a good "Sport".
