I'm going to UK,please I need an advice?

You are going to have so much fun! I've been several times and I can't wait to go back. A great book to get is the Rick Steves book on London. It is a lot less touristy than the other books and has little tours and maps in it. The pubs are great for a lunch or a drink at night, much friendlier than a bar. As far as London, I would say definitely try to see the tower of London, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and also Shakespeare's house at Stratford-upon-Avon. And the great museums--the V&A, the National Gallery, Tate Modern, etc. Bath would make a great day trip from London so you can see the Roman baths. Edinburgh is great for just general sightseeing, it's really beautiful. I didn't get to take the tour of the underground vaults but sounds like it would be really interesting. And I liked Wales too, I honestly don't remember any particular sights, just that it was green and beautiful. Ditto with Ireland, it is all gorgeous and Dublin is a great city to visit for historical sightseeing and shopping,etc. Try to hire a carriage in the countryside so you can see some old castles, I did that and it was fantastic :-)

I went for the first time in May...Loved it! We started in the South and went up to N England. We stayed with family most of the time, So the cost was reduced!

You Have to do London.....and get your hotel room on line much cheaper than just walking in! Visit all the great landmarks we went for 2 days and saw most ever thing!

I also visited Dorset (southeast coast ) Beautiful beaches and scenery. New Forrest with the kids!
Castle cork old ruins!

The Cotswold's were very cool...lots of small villages!

Stratford upon Avon...Shakespeare's town was a lot of fun.....The swans on the river and lots of great flower gardens!

Near Stratford was Warwick Castle a lil expensive and we didn't have all day to tour it.

Then I went to Huddersfield ...ok daytrip to York ....small riverboat ride that was a very interesting city. (North)

The absolute best was Wales....We rented a cottage near Fishgaurd for 3 days on a working dairy farm (cheap)...and then went on day trips to the surrounding areas. St. Davids smallest city in the UK....etc.........Absolutely got to do some of Wales..get your hiking boots on!

Whatever you do have fun and explore...I'm looking forward to going to Scotland or England on my next jaunt over the pond.

Yeah, I lived in the UK. Definitely check out Knightsbridge for local color! As for culture, hit the pubs!

It's coming into winter in the UK so take loads of warm clothes especially if you go to Scotland! Best places to visit London, Belfast, Edinburgh, Stratford Upon Avon, The Orkney Islands, Skye, Lake District, Liverpool, The west Highland of Scotland.

I'm a Scot and think if you want ancient buildings and brilliant scenery then head there it's a small enough country to get about with a car!! Make sure you go into local pubs it's the best wayu to experience any place!

i have visited uk n i liked it very much.but i dont think that october is the right month.i went in july n it was wonderful.
london is a wonderful city as everybody knows.i visited wales n it was very beautiful.dont forget to go to madam tausad`s wax museum.toxwer bridge,trafalgur square,picadally circus,parliament house and london eye r the famous places in london.thats all i know!

You need to spend a couple of days in Bath and then go up to Chester - stay in a B & B.
If the weather forecast is good - visit the Lake District.
If you have time, go to Edinburgh.
Eat Kippers for Breakfast and Fish and Chips for Lunch and Lamb Shank for Dinner.

October isn't exactly the best time to go. The days are rather short and the weather is quite unpredictable. Take care when crossing roads the traffic will be coming from the wrong direction.

local library and get a book about traveling to
The U.K. and do your home work and you'll
find all the information you need.

I visited England for a week in 2003. I LOVED London... mind the cars though because depending on where you are from, they are on the other side of the road than what you are accustomed to. There were some great clubs, museums and stores to visit, plus great touristy places like Buckingham Palace, Tate Modern, Big Ben, etc. I also spent quite a few days in Leeds which is very much a university town, but it was still very pleasant and they have a circular shopping center... can't remember the name though, but it was wonderful. Make sure you pack a raincoat because it rained every day that I was there. I loved it though!! I've not been to Scotland, Wales or Ireland though so I can't be of much help for those countries. Enjoy your time! London was awesome and I am contemplating moving there if I can arrange it because I enjoyed it so much.

I visited the UK awhile ago, If you are into history/ culture they
have many art museums and Cathedrals. Try St.Paul's
Cathedral, it's amazingly beautiful and there are tour guide's
to tell you the history and stories behind it.

Check out the river Thames, and Rudyard Kipling's home.
Also Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge and Trafalgar Square
are all worth checking out. Buckingham Palace is quite
awesome for pictures and watching the changing of the guards.
I swear they have giant ravens the size of dogs wandering around the castle grounds./
If the flag is flown at full mast the queen is in residence.

Also check out the British museum, quite interesting.
If you have a chance to make it to Bath, It's where Jane Austen
lived and set some of her novels.
If your into theatre there are many to choose from, I went to
Drury Lane Theatre and saw Miss Saigon and at Queen's theatre and saw Laughter on the 23rd floor with Gene Wilder. Also to Cambridge
Theatre and saw Grease.
If you are into art, go to the National Gallery they have
everything from Rembrandt to Degas, and DaVinci, they also
have lectures, films and tours.

If you want to see the Crown Jewels, get a tour through the
Tower of London.

Don't forget to hit Canterbury for awesome thrift stores and
really unique fun shops,come back with some totally sweet threads! I wish you well, hope this helps,

London/Brighton is the nightlife area to visit
Bath is about an hour away from London and is by far one of the prettiest cities on the planet, a must see!!!
In scotland, Edinburgh is the prettiest/touristy city, but Stirling is where the fight for Scottish freedom occurred at Stirling Castle, this is Braveheart country and where you will find the Wallace Monument. For Wales, hmmm ... I have only driven to Port Maddogg and do not recommend it, but the whole country is really beautiful. Never been to Ireland.
