don't do it ......................better to talk to someone either at school ...college........the Samaritans ............at 16 you'll never get a job that will pay you enough to live.......it's expensive .......and you'll end up being prayed on by some one with little morals and no interest in your welfare |

Bring a blanket - it's cold on the streets at night. Oh and some wet wipes to wipe the pee and vomit off your blanket when you wake up.
No, seriously. To rent a 1 bed flat anywhere near a tube station would be about £600 - £800 a month. |

Thats not a smart thing to do, running away from home and hoping to survive in a city like london with no qualification will make you turn to low moral jobs and habits. Stick it out till you finish school and live in london as a college student with a good job. |

You think London is the answer?? - which Pimp do you want to work for?? Sorry but if you are finding it hard now, you will find it harder in London, and you will not get out of the lifestyle so easily as you think. If you are having problems at the moment, - Talk to someone, Family - Samaritans - Doctor - Social Services - Childline - Police - Neighbours. Get some self esteem and if you are finding it hard, you will find it much harder on your own. London is not paved with gold as Dick Whittington thought, it is full of "rip off merchants" for the unprepared - be warned - and get help.. |

If you're seriously planning this, find a job or paid internship before you get here because if you're 16 you probably wont be able to find a better job than shop work and minimum wage for 16-17 year olds is £3.40 and hour. Also, the problem with central London is that the tourist attractions means that the prices are really high, even for simple stuff. You'll work all day and earn enough to cover travel and food, nothing else. If you can't stay where you are, it's best to either find someone you know or research places that are cheaper to live in. London is the worst place to run away to if you don't want to end up on the streets. |

Get a job in London and a place to stay in London before you run away. Run away with someone else. Or don't do it.
London is great unless you're alone. Then it's hell.
Even your parents are better than some of the people who'll get in *your* way if you find yourself 16 and homeless in London.
Even your parents. |

i don't know why you think london would be any better than where you are now. if you need a fresh start you don't need to go very far away. besides, finishing school will give you the ability to easily and legally travel wherever you like, and do whatever you may decided to do. all i can offer is that time will pass sooner than it seems and before you know it you will be 18 and completely free to explore who you are. |

Hey, Im 16.
I think its a really bad idea,
You must have some really bad things happen in your life to make you want to do this, But speak with your parents, and see if you can sort things out. There are people you can talk to,And places you can go....
Hope this helps...

Well good luck is all i say, not to be harsh but you will end up in some really scummy place coz do you know how excpensive it is to live in london?! alot! |

Pointers? Make sure you have somewhere to live, a job or college course to go to, financial support, and an understanding of how to live on your own. Nothing's going to come of running away and hoping you'll fall on your feet when you arrive - because you won't. There are no more opportunities here for unskilled sixteen-year-olds than there are anywhere else. The streets of London aren't paved with gold, and you'll soon get fed up after you've wandered around all day with nothing to do, with nowhere to go when it gets dark.
It's completely normal for teenagers to argue with family - it's practically a rite of passage. Speak to a counsellor at your school, or contact your GP and discuss how you feel. Talk to your parents about how you feel; more than likely, being called a hassle is heat-of-the-moment anger talking in an argument, and they'd be very upset to find you feel the way you do. |

lol don't go to London, go somehwhere else! Like cornwall or the countryside, you're more likely to settle there. Then maybe move to London in a few years. I live in England and I would suggest you move somehwere near the sea. |
