Yep love it, you can see those who've caught the London buzz. Homes are a bit pricey, would love to live there myself.

Andrew
I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!

nert
I'm with you on this one, I love the place, despite it being dirty and horribly expensive... I lived in Holborn for a while and loved it to bits. Now in Brighton, which they call London by the sea.

firebyrd16
go there for vaca
dont stay
honestly, everything is frickin expensive so unless you wanna live like a hobo, i suggest not

cherub
I have friends who lived there and all of them hated it and got away as soon as possible. They advised me not to ever settle there. The dirt ,pollution and smog is desperate not to mention the heat in Summer. However somewhere not too far from london, in the suburbs might be ok. I go visiting to surrey sometimes. about 30miles or a bit less from London and I would like to live there.

I love London too. Great theater. Great day and night sight seeing. Like coming home. Living there? I think it would be too expensive. I prefer to leave it as a great travel treat.

Musicol
Yep - my job takes me into some of the great buildings and see some amazing views across the city. I still get the buzz like a tourist!

I loved London, lived there for 2 years! I lived in Wimbledon but unless you have the money you end up in a small flat. I say if you loved it so much living there is great! We hardly had loads of money but I had fun. There was always something to do, you could get anywhere at anytime yet you didn't need a car, and I would stay in the Southwest London

jollywood
Great idea!
Yes, it's expensive, and yes it's crowded, and yes it's all sorts of things.
But to me it's the best place on the face of the earth, and I love it living here!

I love London too. It really pretty day or night. I think its a very picturesque city. The way almost everything is old and well cared for. I love the ease with which I can get around and the fact that people understand when I speak. I love the West end too. I also like Marks and Spencer.
Would I live there full time. My answer is yes. Life is expensive so try get a decent job.

kusbetts
sure why not

Great Idea... Stay and live in Islington or finsbury/clerkenwell (Barnsbury's your best bet)

Shopping, avoid the west end, any london borough's high street or main shopping area carries the same goods and brands as you would find in the west end (if only the tourists would stop being so darned lazy and stop shopping in the west end and stop bitching about getting ripped of)

Thank you very much indeed. You have made me an extremely happy by asking that. I now live in Northampton but lived as a child all around london,
Fulham
Plumstead
Chelmsford
Colchester
Chelsea. London itself is a very diverse city and has one of the best police and ambulance services in the country. I.E northamptonshire police were ranked bottom of the performance ratings recently whereas the Met where in there at number 3.
Also london has so many fantastic places to go out. For example Leicester Square, Home of 95.8 Capital Radio London and the world famous Leicester Square Odeon and so many amazing restaurants and places to eat. Then there is Trafalgar Square again with some great places to eat and relax. For the heritage i reccomend taking the walk from trafalgar down to Buckingham Palace. Then of course is the world famous Hyde Park home to the diana memorial fountain again with great restaurants and lovely place just to relax or play sports.

i LIKE london but wouldnt want to live there.

its a bit too impersonal for me - you walk down the street and you dont recognise anyone, and people do not make the effort to talk to you even if they do not know you.

the tube can be a bit of a nightmare

and if you do not fit into a certain social hierachy, its quite expensive to live there.

so, i just go for the cool shops and gigs them go back home.

it is cool tho

blah123456
i think that's an awesome idea.

and the thing is, you just KNOW when you're supposed to do something.

i'm going early next year..because i've waited forever to get to go....assuming i still loved it even AFTER visiting...i would definitely consider moving there.

i'm 21/f/from the states, still in school, dont party much (which means most other ppl are too irresponsible and save up to try to go)...and i dont know how...but if i loved a place, i'd find a way! go for it!

Why not! If you get a good job there you can afford the lifestyle. As long as it's the right move for you go for it.
I love visiting London, so much to see and great nightlife.
