If you purpose is "business", then you may need a visa if you are staying for a long time. But if you're coming and going for a brief visit or a conference, then you shouldn't need one.

If you are coming for vacation / holiday then you do not need a visa. You must leave again within 6 months though, and the passport control officer will ask you about your intended length of stay. Would be good to have your return date/tickets handy when you go through the immigration lines. Also know where you are staying to put on your landing card on the airplane.

You don't need to get one in advance for a tourist/visitors visa. You get it when you enter the country. For exact information go to state.gov/travel/ and check the consular information sheets.

We really suffer if we are silly enough to go to the US. I think you can come here without a visa but am not sure, best to consult your own consulate or even ours. But the dregs of humanity come here and make our lives a misery, so you should have no problems.

wonkyfella
No. You need to come from eastern Europe, or Asia. Then you get a house, a car, a TV, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, an oven, beds, a sofa, and money every week free from the state.

Nope, you only need a valid passport if you're visiting for leisure purposes. Different rules apply for business travel or if you're going to study.

sandie
not just for a holiday i dont think? but if you are planning on staying then yes you do?.....i think?

Sherri

Yes...get your passport first. I think you get your visa from the Consulate of the country you wish to visit. I think they stamp your passport.

Here's a link that might help you; there are links in it for visa and passports: http://www.britainusa.com/

Yes and fingerprints and a dna sample and a complete family history and keep you in immigration for at least two hours like you do to us. Have a nice stay.

Yes and a love for fish-n-chips.

Yes, and MasterCard and Discover too.

Seriously, you do need a passport which, if I remember right, will be stamped with a visa.

cashelmara
Do you mean passport? Yes
