I am designing a Pub in my home. Any suggestions?

My husband and I are designing a pub in our new home. I would love ideas. What is your favorite Pub in the UK, Ireland or Scotland? Any ideas? We want it to be as authentic as possible.
Cheers!

My favourite pub is the Three Crowns in Brinkworth, Wiltshire, England (See link 5). Very friendly & always busy even though it is 8 miles from the nearest town.

Use link 1 click on the pictures to view the inside of various pubs

Use link 2 to make your pub famous!

Use link 3 for list of other good pubs

Use link 4 to see why a pub is a pub - think about the original features

Also when you open, invite the local newspaper to do a story on how you've transformed your home.

Good luck, I hope it goes well

Have loads of Vodka, I like the bar's that are made out of a big tree that has been polished up.
For under the bar you could put silver corrugated iron, sort of a bush type theme.
Oh and the cubboards that you attach to the roof to hold your glasses are a MUST.
Hope it goes well, and make sure you have a huge party when its finished just so you can test it out and make sure its in full working order.

Oak panels look nice. A pool table, dartboard. Some rustic decoration (shirehorses) or even better a nautical theme. Have soft lighting, some music in the background and make it cosy. That should give you the right atmosphere.
