Stratford-Upon-Avon is a lovely place and quite quaint in places. Arundel and Chichester are also lovely towns.
If you really want to get away from it all try the Welsh hills, nothing but sheep and damp hillsides but beautiful!

My boyfriend and I had a lovely weekend in St Ives, Cornwall. It's 6 hours on the train from London, but SO worth it. We stayed at a charming bed and breakfast (there are many to choose from). Lots of charming streets and restaurants... have fish & chips on the beach, walk along the , visit the Tate Gallery. Just check out some of the pictures of the city!! GORGEOUS!!!

I live in cornwall, and anywhere here is wonderful. there are secluded little spots on the north coast, try Crackington Haven, or on the south coast further towards lands end, any where around the Helford Passage is beautiful... you will not be dissapointed. ENJOY!

It depends where you live and how far you want to travel. The cotswolds are lovely and there are some really nice little villages. It also depends what you fancy doing whilst your away (that sounds dodgy) If you like walking try Malvern in Worcestershire the hills are fab. I also really love pembrokeshire in west wales. Why don't you try and find out where theres a really special restaurant like Rick Steins and take it from there.

There are many places which can be unusual to you.this will make you feel something special inside you.with a lot of courage because you wont be feeling that some one who knows you can see you.so you will be free.
The place is in up hill with green saroundings clear view of acity back home down there. It have a verry pleasant air with a little couldness which will make you nerverse.its like a garden restaurant.but most of it its on your mind.

The village of Alfriston in Sussex. There's a railway station but you'll need a cab to the village, which has hotels, pubs and shops. It is very olde English, set in the Sussex Downs - you'll love it. Trains from London Victoria.

I think you should go for the Lake District beacause its a beautiful place with amazing scenery and you can go on romantic boat rides across the Lake at night when the stars are out!And go on walks aswell and eat in little cottages! You'll have a wonderful time.

I know that the National Trust offer accomodation in beautiful areas in our country. I saw one offering a converted windmill, which looked very cosy and unusual!!

We stayed here for an anniversary, its close to Bath which is a great place to visit. You need to book the 'tower' room. You basically get three rooms. Your bedroom which also has the lounge and a roaring log fire, joining onto that is the bathroom with a roll top bath, up a small flight of stairs is the second bedroom and the tiny dining area and fridge, where your breakfast will be served, you then go through the patio doors out onto the rooftop deck and the hot spa for 2. For your use only. It was wonderful, old fashioned and a bit dusty but just fantastic, the restaurant food was great and the wine cellar so dusty most of the labels have rotted off, but wow the wine was good!

The Lake District, there is a lovely hotel called The Samling very romantic.

the cotswolds is the most beautiful part of england. i went for a romantic break in a town called chipping camden - not far from oxford. there's a little secret garden in the town which you just stumble across when you're walking through the town, it's so beautiful and quiet, very romantic place for a picnic or a proposal....

Try Dunster in Somerset.. it's got a castle on a cliff and Exmoor is right next door. Steam trains run nearby on the West Somerset Railway.

Bristol is pretty good for romantic weekends if you have plenty cash and you don't have a partner.
