Ha ha ha! It wont be a problem so long as you get someone at the border to stamp your passport...provided you can find someone! lol, also keep an eye out for wild haggis while you're up there, they're quite small, and have the legs on one side of the body shorter than the other so they can stand level while on the mountain sides....HAHAHAHA!!!!

Eradicat
Most definately get your passport sorted, you don't want a full body search from one of their massive kilt wearing guards!

just drink a wee dram of whisky (or two) and you will be able to understand everyone perfectly

U don't need a passport to travel from England to Scotland. You will need the book though LOL

Only if you intend to travel via Lancashire - God's own county!

Are you for real?

Obviously your Northerner passport will give you access to any country north of the watford gap

If you were going down south then you would need to get a visa

Jayme
i would, if something would happen were you had to stay in that country longer than the expire time, then you could get stuck in there

Yes on both counts. Make certain you do not confuse Scotch with Scottish or you'll by as dry as a Scotsman's palm when it's his round. But don't begrudge the small sums of money involved - any large, well-filled Post Office will sort you out. Scotland is one of the most wonderful places on Earth so stay as long as you can in order to see as much of it as possible. You may need to take a set of bagpipes with you if you are thinking of doing any haggis hunting or peery spinning.
Awa the noo !

Yes you should infact if your passport is about to expire they won't let you on the plane just incase something happens and you have to stay and then you can't get back. So definately make sure your passport is up to date and beyond. Good luck and have fun. Also I'm not sure about the visa.

Ithink you only need a passport if your flying, for security reasons at the airport.............

Remember to take a step ladder. That Hadrian Wall is a bugger to climb without one.

And don't forget, they will probably be using the Euro by then.

You might want to take a yorkshire pudding or two to try and win them over. When approached by a Scotch, place the pudding on the floor and back away. Once the Scotch is off its rocks, you can continue

Jemma-Louise
Because you're staying in the UK you won't need a visa, and if you do you won't be getting one from the SCOTCH embassy, but the SCOTTISH embassy might help.

How long are you staying for? If you come back after your passport expires then yes, get a new one. If not, then no, it should be fine.

You might not need a passport. If you're flying then you will, if you drive or go by train then the chances are you won't. Probably best to take it anyway.

Don't bother with the translation books, the scottish are alright people, just use lots of flailing arm movements and you should get along fine... Either that or you'll be sectioned.

Have fun in SCOTCHland...

You do not need a passport or visa to enter Scotland and "SCOTCH" is a drink, if you mean Scottish or "scots" you may need a translator or phrase book. Please get things correct before you travel as you might end up with a Glasgow "kiss" if you upset a Scotsman !!

You'll need a passport to leave Yorkshire,
or stow away from Hull to Aberdeen.

mushroom
you dont need a passport to go to scotland if for a holiday
