I am planning a trip to York, North Yorkshire (UK). Is there anything I should do (pubs, clubs etc)?

1) walk round the wall
2) Visit Jorvik

Hibee
The Museum of Automata.

i wouldnt bother with jorvik either...dissapointing for the price. castle museum is better and cheaper.

def do a ghost walk, there are loads to choose from, walk the wall, they've got a mini london eye now but dont know what its like.

try york dungeon for a larf. i liked it :)

and go look at the merchant adventurers hall, its lovely

walking on the walls is always good and the Minster is a must. Jorvik centre used to be good but after a revamp a few years ago has lost it a little- i wouldn't bother. try the castle museum instead. Take a boat trip on the river- or even hire yourself your own boat. as for pubs and clubs- well york isn't great for clubbing only two main contender neither of which are brilliant- however there are loads of great pubs- try the swinegate area- lots there. cafe concerto is a brilliant cafe which i alsways take visitors too.

Used to live in York, yeah Yorvik is good!

There used to be a theme park near called the 'American Adventure' but I think its closed this year, however 'Alton Towers' is only a hours or so drive away, and if you havent been before go, its the best theme park in Europe I think.

You must go to Knaesboro and see Mother Shipton in her cave.

Betty's tea room is a must. Ask for toasted tea cakes.

Definitely check out the Minster and do a ghostwalk tour.

Reading other answers and updating mine, Betty's tea room is great. I couldn't remember the name of it offhand.

I would certainly visit Yorvik Viking Centre and do the ghost walk. One of the main things to remember is too park and ride cos they'll completely rip you off for parking thats if you can find a spot. There are lots of nice cafe's and places to eat but if its nice weather I would take a picnic and find a nice spot cos they also charge a lot at the food places. Try visiting http://uk.holidaysguide.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-7727-york_travel_guide-i?partnerId=96908484

It depends what you're into really.
