No, it's not difficult, but there are some things you need to think about.

I have many friends who have moved to London: about half left again after a few months having hated it, and the rest remained there as long as they could, and loved it (like myself).

I would say that it's difficult on the level of being expensive, very big, there are lots of people and it can be difficult to generate a social group for yourself, and it's cold. For those who leave after a few months, the above trials basically make it impossible to overcome any homesickness.

On the other hand, everybody that I know who has made it past the five (or so) month mark has adored it. If you do move there, be prepared to stick it out.

Just make sure you research the suburb you plan to live in carefully, make sure you can afford to live there, and so on.

It's a fabulous, fabulous place to live in. Have a glass of wine at Gordon's for me....

I'm sure it's no more difficult than living anywhere else. They speak the same language as us. So I don't think there would be much of a problem.

I am currently in the same situation as you, thinking of moving there myself next year. On findaproperty.com there are bedsits in North London for £65 a week, which sounds good but perhaps too good to be true?
I think as long as you keep hold of a full time job which covers all the bills with some left over, then it can be managable.

Gray Rock
VERY difficult.

virgil
Much more expensive than you think.

Well, you have to realize that you would be living in the city which means lots of noise and people. If you already live in the city or don't mind it, then London is a great place to live.

In the U.K. many people dont like tourist so try to get youst to a british accent. It is some what difficult to move their.you must have a good credit score and a good amount of money to fly there and move their for almost everything is expensive there.
-n00blet out! ^.~

If you decide to move ,you are making the worst mistake of your life. It's worse than Hull.

no it isnt particularly difficult, just pretty expensive. i guess it depends on where you live aswell because most of the london boroughs are pretty rough :)
