Oxford Street contains all high street shops. You will not find the designer shops there. Try Primark, New Look, Top Shop etc etc. These shops will contain the latest fashions. They will be very busy though, I only shop there on Sunday mornings when its a bit quieter.

Primark on Oxford Street is your best bet.

Below is a clickable map of Oxford Street with all the shops. Click on to check em' out.

There are bargains to be had along Oxford Street. My advice is you try and find an Indian trader, because they are only too happy to haggle over the price of something.

Have a great time and like I say, pick out the bargains and remember, it's a buyer's market.

Shopping in London is quite expensive and 50 GBP is not going to get you very far at all. Primark, H&M, and Next are probably your best bets.

No, most of the shops on Regent Street (near Picadilly Circus) are designer. I agree that you should go to Primark in Oxford street, but beware. That place is an ABSOLUTE MAD HOUSE! (Got some nice pumps there for £2 though :D)

You could probably get a carrier bag from one of the shops for £50 on Oxford Street.

Most of the shops there are designer.
