But I'm 'from' Glasgow' that is really my home, born there, travelled and worked just in about most places in the world, but 'from' Scotland!
I don't have much time for you English, but if it's any consolation the best place in England is the North East, esp' Yorkshire, you may even be from Newcastle area, (I've never been there)! But I like Yorkshire.
I noticed you dont have many replies from more exotic spots but they are actually out there , they may not know where the North East of England is , or even Scotland but they are out there , they think England is the UK , they are correct at this moment in time, but watch this space, it wont be for long!!!

People from the North of England are great - always so friendly. I'm not from the North, although I am friendly, but that may be because I come from the area that salutes love and peace: Glastonbury, in Somerset. Don't live there now though; I live in the Izmir Region of Turkey and we're having some scorching weather just now - 40C/104F today and getting hotter!! Right now, I'd swop it for the Glastonbury Fest mud!
