Train is faster and more comfortable than bus. And because you don't have to wait around, you can get to your final desination as fast as if you went by plane.
Not very expensive if you can book in advance and can be a bit flexible about times of trains. Advance purchase tickets from Â£14 one-way. Pick and mix from what is available at the time of booking. Go to any train company website to book, eg GNER.co.uk. If you don't see anything suitable the first time, go back in several times. The seats are tied up while someone is booking, but if they don't complete it, they become available again.

BmI baby do some good deals now and then , you just have to keep checking i think you have ot book in advance , however a newish airline that i have great reports from is www.flyglobespan.com it operates from the scottish airports and appears to be fantastic value check them out i was recomended to use them from a person whose opinions i would trust .

If you are quick National Express show a through coach at 0900 on Friday with a fare of Â£21 journey time 8h40m and a return at 1100 on Monday for the same price with a journey time 8h45m.

Flights out of London on Friday night are very expensive. If you could fly in the morning instead you could get a better deal like Â£89 on EasyJet from Gatwick or for Â£65 with Ryanair from Stansted...

ryanair fly to prestwick from stanstead its about Â£10.00 each way plus a 40 minute train journey from prestwick to Glasgow

Fares start from Â£1 plus 50p booking fee.

Coach leaves Glasgow Buchanan Street at 2230 and is due in at London Victoria at 0815

(Interesting fact about this overnight service is that it is the only Megabus journey which is double manned. It leaves Glasgow with a two man crew, who changeover at Tebay. At Keele services, they cross over the motorway and pick up the northbound coach, changing over again northbound at Tebay. The leg between London and Keele is driven by a Bedford driver - it used to be a Leyton driver before Stagecoach sold their London operations in 2006)

My botfriend and i went to Oxford from Manchester (Mcr-London then London to Oxford) and returned 2 days later ...and it only cost us Â£20 for both of us!!! It was great for the price. Everything was on time and it wasn't as cramped as people make out.
My dad also used them to go from Manchester to Glasgow and had no problems at all. He still can't understand how they do it so cheaply!!!

Just do it...you can't beat those prices!!!
