Travel Inn, Travel Lodge or Holiday Inn.

Depending on how long your staying for you can't go wrong with a travelodge or premier travel inn (there are plenty in and around London) they aren't 5 star luxury and many of them don't offer food except for breakfast, but they are clean and let's face it how long are you actually going to be in the hotel .

It is hard travelling with children at the best of times but London is so expensive and not really a child friendly city. It might be worth staying in a B&B slightly outside the city where you get more of an at home feel and can always travel in when you want to. www.smoothhound.co.uk lists all B&B's and small hotels in the UK.

Whatever you do, do not leave the kids alone in the hotel room like those parents who got their little girl stolen!

Further to ealier answer Premier Travel Inn are good, there is one by the London Eye very central location (£100 a night) room will sleep 2 adults 2 children.

Or you may be better off with an apartment (Citadines Trafalgar Square Apart'Hotel for example) as that would give you the flexability you need as a parent.

(2 kids... lots of traveling)
