Well for me September is best but you need to state what sort of places you like. eg; Histroy or city life, country villages. I live a stones throw from Stonehenge, an hours drive from the New forest and an hour from London. I can be in Winchester or Salisbury in twenty minutes so for me the south is perfect but othrs will say different. Good luck on your travels

I'd say July/September/October are best. (I personally wouldn't recommend August, because that's the holidays for schools and universities and there are lots of tourists, so there will be a lot of people around and it feels a bit claustophobic...)
I'm not sure where else you should visit, but i live in London so i'd say definitely visit London!!

London will be great for a tourist. If you like the busy towns and things to do. Manchester is a great city without the busy-ness of London. Kent is near London and is an old British town kind of place.
I live in Chester in Cheshire. We get lots of tourists. If you like history and countryside, it's the place for you. Plus is close to Wales so a daytrip around there would be fab. Llandudno has a huge beach!
Cornwall if you want beaches and such...Devon too.
Any other places in England I'm not a fan off. It's quite grotty.

If you want a fun day out....Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Alton Towers etc...just search for theme parks.

As for month...summer would be best to avoid the rain. Although we're expecting some thunderstorms after today so not sure if it's worth the worry with rain. It comes down unexpectedly, when you least expect it. Maybe September as it'll be quiet and last month of warm. December for the Christmassyness. August if you want some chance of heat...

London - there is so much to see and do, not just the touristy things. I love the buzz that I always get going to London. Get out of London too, loads of great places in Kent, Canterbury, countryside, seaside e.t.c.. Nearer to London - St. Albans? Or if you want to go to the south, perhaps Salisbury? O ther great cities like Cambridge. Oh and so many other great places. I hope you have a great trip!!

mariaa!
the city newcastle in the north east of england.

Lake District, South Downs, Isle Of Wight, The New Forest, London, Lincon Cathedral, East Anglia.

English weather is FAR from reliable - the last couple of days (end of july 2008) have been around 30 degrees, yet this time last year a quater of the counrty was being flooded and evacuated, so make sure you check before you go.

Get ee to Brissle me babber, and us'll make ee proper welcum.

Providing you can understand a word, Bristol is a great city with a lot of history and is in striking distance of places like Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Chedar Gorge.

And Weston Super Mare where you will find a very warm welcome at the moment!

Mr Bad Boy
York, Lake District, Manchester and the best time is September
