If Scotland and England had a war, who would win?

Modern warfare requires two things.

Fuel for transportation and weapons.

Where is the UK store of nuclear weapons kept? Scotland
Who has a major oilfield within its bounds? Scotland

So, who do YOU think will be the victor?

charcinders
Scotland. They have all our nuclear submarines!

No one - you never " win " a war . Although a hypothetical question I note with sadness the responses which suggest Scots " hate the English " Having an English grandfather , an English mother in law , a wife born in England and an Irish sister in law but born and educated in Scotland I am probably as well qualified as anyone to prognosticate !

FACT : The so called " national press " for the most part fails to report adequately on Scottish affairs and the BBC actually have a " Scottish Correspondent " and insist on reporting separately despite having numerous Scottish reporters available !

FACT : There are a large number of English people living and working in Scotland . I am not aware of any racial tension or anxieties .

FACT : My local rugby club has elected 4 English born and bred players as club captains in the last decade whilst the candidate for the Scottish National Party in the last local election where I live was a Londoner born and bred !!

Please let us stick to facts and not unsubstantiated allegations .

No one" you can't fight your family and walk away unaffected !

Dogberts
It's a clichee, but a true one: There are no winners in war. I'm English and it saddens me that many Scottish people are still today, very hostile towards English people. Surely it is time to let by gones be by gones.

I have nothing against my neighbours in Ireland, Scotland and Wales and I wish them all the best.

it'd be a shame to see it happen but it wouldn't surprise me as there's still so much hostility and discrimination, i mean, england STILL won't accept scottish bank notes despite them being legal tender!! who would win? all i'll say is we scots managed to keep out the romans...;)

I love and respect both the Scottish and the English.
They are both wonderful amazing people and they are a source of inspiration to the world.

Well said Dogberts...those are my sentiments exactly, especially as I was born in England with Scottish paternal ancestors and Irish maternal ancestors with a bit of Welsh and Spanish thrown in for good measure!
