The Lake District, cos I love the adventure of the outdoors and the fact that you are not surrounded by buildings, cars and people (some of the time)

I would buy and live in Castle Glamis. It is gigantic and haunted and just a wild place to have as a private home. Think about it.

Strangely enough, my second choice would be Chillingham Castle. That is even more haunted. That is haunted to the point of insanity. Such things make good bedfellows. When you had made your peace with the castle ghosts you would get the most restful sleep in Christendom.

Staffordshire, because it is great here. We are right in the middle of the country and have everything we want from big towns to forests and lakes. If we want to go anywhere else being in the middle of England we have easy access to the rest of the country but i wouldnt want to go anywhere else cos i love it and its home.....besides we got Alton Towers.....yeeha!!!

Welwyn Garden City.

It is where my Biological Mother comes from, and I have never met my Biological Dad, so it would seem like a good place to start.

Still, at 37 years old (me), what's the chances of that :-(

Well Portstewart in Co, Derry where I used to live, if not then I'd jump off the cliff in Portstewart, I'm Irish and live in the Republic and you'd have to be rich for me to move to the UK!

I live in the Midlands - been here since 02July1963 - and have never liked it.
I was born and brought up in Bristol, so, in spite of the way in which it has degenerated, my happiest memories are there.
I'd choose to go back home, or, North Devon where my mother's family lived from the 1600's or the Crediton area where my father's family were from at least the 1500's.
I would love to have time to wander around at length and experience the places which were home to them.

Suzie S has the right idea. I have the misfortune of habitating (living is too mundane) in East Yorkshire, and Scotland is the only place for me. I spent the last 18 years, on and off, in Scotland with the Navy, and would have stayed there but the family wouldn't move - not happy!!

If I had a choice I'd go for, in no particular order:

The Black Isle
The Western Isles (anyone that will take me)
The Orkney Islands
The Shetlands
Glasgow - so I could go and watch the Mighty Gers

Lottery win or a job offer and I'm off up North faster than Davie Cooper on the wing at Ibrox, back to where people are civilised, the beers' good, and you can buy a Smokie Supper. You try to get one down here............!

Yorkshire?.....best bit is the way out!

Brighton!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's Englands greenest city as we do the most recycling etc,it's gay and lesbian friendly we have gay pride which is awesome! We have an amazing night life with loads of clubs and venues so there is something for everyone and alot of really good music and bands come out of Bton.
It's a really laid back place and there is not much prejudice here, the shopping is really good and the lanes have loads of unique shops, restaurants and cafe. The downs surrounding Bton are beautiful and in the summer you get loads of free party's with loads of rigs and loads of drugs and of course there is the beach!
