If you're going to be traveling around a lot by bus/tube, get an Oyster card. It costs 3 pounds for the card, but once you have it you can put credit on it for bus/tube trips and pay a lot less than if you bought a regular ticket every time. For example, a regular tube fare in Zone 1 is 3 pounds, but if you use your Oyster card it's only 1.50. At the end of your trip you can either keep your Oyster card or turn it back in and get your 3 pounds back. Buy one at any tube station. |

Well I went to London, and I had an amazing time. Not only did I meet some great people, but it was also really pretty! Have a great time. Don't spend too much money! (That was the only problem I had!) |

See as much as you can, the best way to see london is to walk it. I lived ther for 12 months and i still need to go back to catch up on the things i didnt get to see. |

1) Do not eat english food. Go to an italian rest.
2) Do not try to enter St.Paul. They charge 7 pounds
each (at least in January 2005; now can be more)
3) do not think of buying something on the BM shops. They are mad. A pencil can cost you 3 pounds (almost 6 dollars)
4) try to not take the subway between 8 and 9 am
and 5 to 7 pm.
And get use to walk, walk, walk,walk,walk.... |

buy a tube pass for the duration of their stay, it's by far the best way to get around london. there's a tube station within staggering distance of every pub in the whole city! |

Never stay in cheap/bargain hostel. Not unless you want to catch something. |

i would advise them to go to the london eye. see travalgar square make a wish in the fountain there, (haaaaa) be careful of the underground. yes pick pockets. stay on the buses. cloth shopping is all expensive in london because of the tourists. go to china town there its wonderful and the atmosphere is great. stay late to be sure they saw all the lights. and its ok to go to harrods if you have a lot of money to buy the food. |
