I dont live in England anymore, but ive only just moved to Northern Ireland! So i will contribute for memorys sake.

Blackpool - The las vegas of the north! When its sunny, and you are sat on the prom with your mates in a bar, and there are loads of tourists walking about having a great time, its the best place ever.

The winter however is dreary, cold, empty and dull dull dull!

Plus it smells a bit on the prom.

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire PE7

Its cheap very cheap for housing (4 beds under @230k)
Great shopping centres
Great connection to london 45 mins
Its clean.
Decent Jobs, countryside near.

Bad things - it's a stepford Town - nothing to do if you dont fit in you don't go out.. most inhabitants are chaved drongo's think vivky pollard!

Avondrow
Clifton, Bristol

Beautiful scenery and architecture, lots of history, bohemian atmosphere - high rent!

Its rubbish because it so expensive and there is no way i can get on the housing market without struggling

Oldham, Lancashire

good points ... nice surrounding scenery, pennine hills, diverse culture, close easy access to Manchester, Friendly people, good history (one of the first industrialised towns, and the largest cotton spinning town in he world at one point, many of the Mills are still standing, and some of them are real nice buildings) and Oldham Athletic A.F.C :-D

Bad Points ... too Many Chavs, lots of run down areas of town in need of refurbishment, too close to Yorkshire ;-)

i live in stourbridge which is the best town in the world, its rather close to birmingham which sucks but still, STOURBRIDGE OWNS

Steve
Milton Keynes..
Good:-
New town, lots to do, plenty of jobs, plenty of park areas.
Ikea :)

Bad:-
Crap Hospital, too many council estate people, too many bloody roundabouts, getting too populated, expensive council tax and mostly...no history to the town oh and a half finished footie stadium

i'm so envious...! I want to go to England right nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :(

Preston, Lancashire

Good things - So much to do & see.The city is home to the University of Central Lancashire. Formerly known as Preston Polytechnic, "UCLan" is now the sixth largest university in the country,
Preston is famous for Preston North End F.C. (one of the founder members of the Football League and the first team to be crowned English football champions) and the National Football Museum, the home of English football heritage,

Preston Bus Station is one of the largest in Europe,

Preston's premier landmark is probably St Walburge's Church and which has, at 94 metres (308 ft), the tallest spire in England on a church that is not a cathedral
Football - visit the National Football Museum (free entrance);
Shopping - Preston has several shopping centers.
Rail - visit the Ribble Steam Railway [13] on the docks.

Bad point - It will be undergoing massive improvement in the city centre by Grosvenor called the tithebarn project.
It will be a big building site for many years.

Tavistock Devon

Very wild, moorland scenary, low pollution, isolated feel, massive sunsets, not too far from the beach either, massive house prices and rents, lack of/lowpaid jobs career prospects non-existant, high price of living in general.
