no, you don't need a passport to visit scotland, this is an old joke that people play on visitors, scotland is part of great britain, not a seperate country.
you do however need to go to your doctor for rabies shots in case you are bitten by wild haggis, they are particularly wild at this time of year and have been known to go into city centres searching for food. just be carefull if you see one.

No, you don't need a passport. Just a large amount of used currency. Leave it at Arrivals, I'll see it gets to the right place....
