It's great. One tip though - bring lots of bags of money if you want to enjoy the finer things in life, such as petrol for your car, rent for a roof over your head etc!

Seriously, I love living here but it's so bloody expensive!

sorry, we are full

You get more time off, and you get paid in the strongest currency in the world. Its a good thing

It's cold, it rains a lot, it's virtually impossible to get on the property ladder and everything costs twice as much as anywhere else in the world.

Do not come here, it stinks. Seriously.

Dont let the idiots and moaners put you off
Its great, Jobs are fairly easy to get if your prepared to put the work in. The only people without work are the scroungers and the retired

If youre intelligent and willing to work hard, finding a job isn't a problem.
Contrary to what the majority of people on the dole say........
But if you wanna come here and sit on your ****, then thas cool. Our government will fund it.

The UK is a similar country to the USA.. Work is great here.. but it depends what sector of work you are particularly interested in?

We let them into far too easily, they don't let us in.

leeandniky
Nooooooooooooooo, dont do it!!!!!!!!! Why???? The weather ranges from cold to wet to cloudy to dull. t has rained constanty all day 2day and been really miserable. You get paid ok in the citys but have 2 give 40% to the goernment who then give it all to the europeans (who hate uk!). I would seriously recommend staying where you are. If not, we can swap passports and you can live here!!! (in a 2bed dolls house which cost about $360,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

don't bother - the country is run by control freaks and democracy is going out of the window.

Don't tell anybody over here that you are coming- that is your first mistake. Just arrive in the hours of darkness, claim asylum and you'll never have to work again. We'll find you a house, fully fitted with all mod cons, you'll get plenty of benefits (pretend you can't speak English- this always helps) including weekly cash handouts, free medicals and medicines. Don't bother to pass your driving test- it isn't necessary- and if you knock someone down when driving without a licence or insurance the social services will make up some excuse.
Whatever you do don't attempt to be self sufficient, that's only for the indigenous population, otherwise you'll never survive- leave it to the professionals i.e. do gooders
Hope this helps you to settle in to our lovely country

it's rubbish over here, cold, and overun with chavs and council estate dwellers.

Hi
I'd wait a while if I were you, we're probably going to sink with all the weight of people we've already got, when you see areas flooding on the news, it's not because of the rain, it's because another plane's just landed

Unless you are uber rich and don't mind giving all of your money to the tax man then I was say find somewhere else. Its cold and extremely expensive here and our customer service is SHOCKING in comparison.

wave
Well actually it aint cold AT ALL, this year for instance has been hot all through april and my parents lit the fire ONLY twice last winter. In the south it really isn;'t cold and besides your from indiana and so you know the meaning of cold unlike the english.

But yeah it is kinda expensive, maintaining a car and a house, two major things in life. However up north isn't as expensive house wise but then you may prefer the south. Consider moving to wales esp. south wales where prices are fairer.

BUt all in all britain does seem to be overated, it has its perks, LOTS of modern and ancient culture and fantastic countryside, but really the country is too full and run by a polite dictatorship, whilst we all seem to be too polite to do too much about it.

kittenpinkrock
why oh why would you want to lol! whereabouts u movin to?

dont be so stupid, this country is a **** hole .

I'd rather live in the U.S - do you want to swap?

Funny, I often think of moving to USA.
It's crowded, especially in South London where I live. It's gone downhill over the last 10 years or so. I suppose what the work is like would depend on what you do but we get at least 4 weeks a year paid holiday - I think you only get 2 don't you? If you are considering moving here, I would definitely use one of them to visit us and see what it is like here for yourself. Good luck in what you decide.
