i think some people should get there facts right when answering these kinds of questions,i live in england and have never heard of old women being called hens
youngsters back in the day used to call young girls birds maybe thats what you got mixed up with but we dont use the term HENS .

I live in an apartment in England. I use the word apartment all the time, it means (well to me anyway) a nice, big flat (in a great area).

Anyway, i digrees. In England you have pounds in America you have dollars.

In England you have crisps in America you have chips (or is it Australia? I think its both).
