They are two different venues that are in seperate parts of London.

The Shepherds Bush Empire is located in the London area of Shepherd's Bush and is a music venue in a theatre type style.

The O2 Arena is on the banks of the Thames and is what used to be called the Millenium Dome. This venue is more like a stadium venue.

Shepherds Bush Empire is in Shepherds Bush - an area to the WEST side of London.
O2 is more central - completely different places.

No. The O2 Arena is what used to be the Dome.

luddite
No, that's why they have different names.

Facile Princeps
Nope they are two different venues in two different areas of London

Norah
Shepherds bush west, O2 east London. Very simple for people who AREN'T American, and therefore have common sense. Don't you think if they were the same place, they would have the same name?

No

Tony
the shepherds bush empire(which is basically a small theatre) is situated on shepherds bush green, just off the uxbridge road in shepherds bush, west london.
The O2 arena is on the site of the millenium dome, greenwich, east london

Emily R
They are two different places.
You might be confused because the Shepherds Bush Empire only just changed it's name to O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (I think it was last week that this happened)

Matt
Not in the slightest.
The Empire is in the west of the city, whilst the o2 Arena (once called the Mellenium dome) is in Docklands, to the East.

Beatnick
No they are two separate places miles apart. The confusion has come about because the 02 company which owns the Greenwich Dome [now called the 02 Arena] also owns the Shepherds Bush Empire which they have renamed as the 02 Shepherds Bush Empire

02 Shepherds Bush Empire. . . .

02 Arena Greenwich. . .

Ted G
No - the O2 Arena I think used to be called the Millenium Dome and the Shepard's Bush Empire was used by the BBC for shows the last I heard.

ANF
The Shepherds Bush Empire is in West London overlooking Shepherds Bush.
The O2 is the millenium dome in the east London area.
