Yeah, but we don't drive opposite to the US. The US drives opposite to us.

Yes, and its really weird when i come the the USA and have to drive left hand steering cars with automatic transmission. Why is is that Americans don't like manual transmission.... its much more fun!!!!!

Yes, in England (and the rest of the UK) the steering wheel is on the right hand side.

TLC♥1981
Yes, the steering wheel is located on the opposite side of the vehicle from that of the United States. In the U.S. the wheel is on the left hand-side of the vehicle and in England the wheel is on the right.

Yes!

The reason the steering wheel is on the right side in England (and Japan, plus former British colonies) is perfectly logical.
The most important part of driving a car is steering.
Most people are right-handed, therefore if the right hand is occupied with steering, the gearchange must be operated with the left hand.
As a floor- mounted gearchange must be in the centre of the car, therefore the steering wheel must logically be on the right.
OK?

it on the right hand side

The answer is yes. It is called right-hand drive which is opposite to the U.S. which is called left-hand drive.

Aloha from Down Unda!
As a US Citizen, growing up in Chicago, we had a thing called television & movies that allowed us the opportunity to see 'Right hand drive' automobiles in programs from 'Pinewood Studios' such as "The Avengers" & James Bond's fancy sports cars. Back in the 70s, my first opportunity to drive in a 'Right hand drive' enviroment was slightly disconcerting but I adapted fairly easily. The oddest experiance was driving my MG [bought in Texas] to the ship from Calais, France, [like Germany & USA, left hand drive] to offload in Dover, England. It's exceptionally odd to be in England, in an English car, with left hand drive! It's like now in Australia seeing a Ford,[& ALL of 'em] with right hand drive! It's opposite, alright, but they usually do go 'forward', thank goodness. { Whew!}
Best wishes ~ K-den, M1/NSWMoke ;-)
