Ed
A part of the City of Westminster known as the West End, especially Soho.

Soho is the area bound in a square formed by the thoroughfares of Piccadilly, Park Lane, Oxford Street and Regent Street.

Most theatres are around this area, especially towards Leicester Square, Coventry Street etc, with a couple dotted around slightly away from here, on Whitehall and in Victoria.

The area you are looking for is called Theatre Land [theatreland] which includes the Strand, Covent Garden and Shaftesbury Avenue and the Charing Cross Road, St Martin's Lane et.
