Irish or Scottish Roots?

My family roots are either Irish or Scottish.

Please help me with your opinion.

My grandparents have passed away and I never knew them.

Saw a picture of my grandfather: he had red hair and red complexion. His nose was big and long with no mound.
His chin was long and big.

As for me:

I am red with red hair and freckles. My entire body can get very red, the forehead, neck, hands, feet, legs, etc.

My nose has a tiny mound. (I am not Jewish or Middle Eastern. They have deeper and bigger bumps)

My favorite animal is a frog. They are very cute in drawings, paintings, etc. Even though, my friends like dogs and cats, I prefer frogs.

My teeth stain very very easily from drinking tea. I am the top stainer in the my dentist's office.

My voice is the loudest in the family, at work, etc. No microphone is needed. My voice is great for hailing down a
cab.

My eyelids get very dry.

My brother is a natural playing the violin and naturally sings in tune. A concertmaster.
Additional Details
My hair growth and hair line is like Pierce Brosnan.

Have thick bushy eyebrows.

You sound a bit mental so you most likely do have Irish or Scottish roots. Probably a bit of both I think. Congratulations of being top stainer at your dentist's and use some eye drops to hydrate you eyes too!

paulpoulboy.
None of these physical attributes would say you are scottish or irish.
However the majority of irish and scottish people are descendants of celts .
The celtic appearance was reputedly fair skin, possibly freckled, and fair or red hair.
You may be onto something!
Good luck

Jock
I think you are a troll. I've just answered an identical question to this one that you have previous posted, along with a stupid question about who eats more cabbage, Irish or Scots. What is your point behind posting such nonsense?

Explain yourself!

Here's the link to his other question people. Kinda proves my point that he a troll.

Clovie
ummmmm...what does liking frogs have to do with anything?
:-/

Could certainly be either, with the red hair... however, simply looking at your physical features and skills, talents, and traits is probably not enough to help. (For example, both of my grandfathers had dark brown/black hair, but I am dark blonde, my sister has the most gorgeous coppery red hair you've ever seen, and my brother is strawberry blond. Hard to tell from looks. One of those dark grandfathers was Irish!)

I'm gathering from your question that there's nobody in your family that would be able to tell you any family history. But do you know the names of your parents, grandparents, any other family members? How about birth dates and/or places? You can try online sites that can trace your family tree (Google the phrase "trace family tree" and it will come up with several, including the well-thought-of Ancestry.com). Check out www.ehow.com/how_490_trace-family-tree.h... for some more complete directions.

I wish you luck!

Combination of both, your a little mad, maybe a bit drunk but very amusing, thanks for the laughx

slightlystoutbob
You sound to me like you're North American, lacking in self-esteem and just wishing you were Irish or Scots.Live with it pal, you're a Canadian or a Yank, nothing to be hung up about if you're a decent bloke.

Jim
You could be either.

Well, it's difficult to tell from your own character/appearance, and natural abilities and preferences don't coincide with ethnicity. However, the Scottish Highlands have the highest percentage of people with red hair in the population in the world, so that would be my guess.

Contrary to modern belief, most ginger headed people are from welsh descendency. I was born red haired - pillar box red, not ginger - and am a scot. However, aside a few platinums, we are generally blond or fair at birth, as are the irish.

deffo Irish or fae Scotland go to genes reunited?

punderwoodx
I realy don't know. But I am certain there are family tree sites that may help you? Good Luck...

I think you should try researching surnames and their origins that may give you a hint more so than just your features alone.
Also read this it may help http://irishtribesman.blogspot.com/2007/01/red-hair-is-most-common-in-ireland.html
