Oh for god sake, the idiocy of some of you people is mind-blowing.

The first true and verifiable democracy was first practised in Greece over two and a half thousand years ago, (two thousand two hundred and 70 years before your country was created)

Your American "Democracy" is one of the newest in the world and based firmly in the "democracy" of money. Whoever can pay the most gets the job. That is not democracy.

I feel sorry for the other Americans out there who have to read this crap and feel that you are representing them to the world.

wow, what color is the sky in your funny little world.
England is not a dictatorship. We Americans did not invent democracy.
Main article: History of democracy
Discussion of the history of democracy is made complex by the varied concepts and definitions used in different contexts and discussions. Democratic principles or elements have been claimed for societies ranging from the early Indian republics (c. 500 BCE) to the Iroquois Confederacy in North America (second millennium CE).[4][5]

Athenian democracy is the earliest well-documented democratic system, and the word democracy was coined in Ancient Greece in the 5th century BC. Records are

I like america but i don't like ignorant f*@ks like you! you let your country down. If your country is so great then you certainly are not promoting that by being a twat!

scotland IS still being dictated to by the english government

Jim
Well, we seem to have a lot more freedom than you guys.

Check out your history about democracy. Your system is based on that used in ancient Greece and Rome. You just borrowed the idea and made a complete mess with it.

Britain is a democracy, which American based its style of government upon. While the U.S has two political parties (Republic and Democrat), Britain has a few parties, which are voted to Power by the people. Unlike Florida, Britain actually counts it's votes.

Britain has a Monarchy, which means King Queen, etc, and this used to weild a large amount of power. This is where i think you have gotten confused. The Morachy still exists, but has limited power (more of a tourist attraction).

nycdude, you really are a twat and I am not going to bother wasting more of my time on this answer.

Message to KJC: Scotland is NOT under the dictatorship of England. Bear in mind that your MSPs have the right to vote on English issues yet our MPs do NOT have the right to vote on Scottish issues. Get off your soapbox. You are boring.

I see you have read Jon Stewart's "America"

Are you aware that that comment was a joke for dumb Americans?

Britain isn't a dictatorship. Your previous questions seem very anti-British. Is that because people cleverer than you make you feel inferior? Unless you are an intelligent boy? As most Justin Timberlake fans are.

britain isn't a dictorship first of all!! dumbass!! it is a parlimentary style of democracy!! DUH!!! a 7th grader could of told u that!!! STUPED!!!!!!!! LOL!!! NOT!!!!! HAHA!! NOT!

JS
NYC dude you do make me laugh - everyday you put questions on here that are intended to offend the British public. It begs me to ask what your problem with Britain is or is it just a personal problem you have? Pretending to be ignorant to offend other people is not an endearing quality and it is not what this website was designed for.

This country is only a dictatorship in so far as our current PM takes us into illegal wars against the wishes of our DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED Parliament, entirely on the say-so of your president who had to fiddle the voting system in Florida to get into office
