I think you will find Wully M that some places in England do accept Scottish notes. Have you never been to Blackpool and some pubs in my part of the country (The Midlands) will accept them also.

No. Two different countries. Scotland and England however both belong to the United Kingdom (UK), along with Wales and the Republic of Ireland.

As if your question isn't bad enough half of the answers show how arrogant, stuck up and not so educated english are...

1. UK = Scot, Eng, Wales and Northern Ire NOT R.O.I.!!!!!!
2. There is no queen of england... the queen is the queen of scotland aswell!!
3. The priminister is SCOTTISH (an **** at that but what politician isn't)
4. The currency is the same we both use pound sterling the notes are slightly different as the bank of england and the bank of scotland produce there own notes.
5. English notes can be used in Scotland but not the other way about.

Point proved? I think so :D

P.S. BLACKPOOL WOULD TAKE SCRAP METAL IF YOU PRESENTED IT AT A COUNTER!!!!
