It's a great place. There's neds in every place in every Country!

catrina
Glasgow is a great place to live - good for jobs, city centre shopping, proximity to open green space, international airport, shopping centres out of town as well. Yes there are neds but so does every other city in the uk.

Andy
The best place in Scotland to live!

Pretty full of neds but most places in south scotland are! glasgow is a great place to live. Plenty of pubs, clubs and restaurants, the best shoppingin the UK outside of London, tonnes of greenspaces, a thriving student communtiy, museums and art galleries,a good public transport system and only a short journey to the rest of Scotland

moonnymph42
really depends on where you live...course it's full of neds. hate them!!!!!

LYNDA M
its a wonderful place to live, and the people are really nice and friendly.

Hibee
The "friendly locals" thing dates back to around the 1950s. These days, it's about as friendly or unfriendly as any other city in Scotland.

#+%?
People are friendly but it's an introverted neurotic judgemental city, (look at the students - no joy, no outgoing, I've never lived in a place where the young people are so unhappy).

Very friendly people for the most part but do remember it is the European city with the third worst murder rate.

i moved up to glasgow 5 years ago when i started uni - i love it here. there is always something to do! the west end is beautiful and funky. the city centre is fun. the shopping is immense. as for neds - they really are quite entertaining as long as you keep a safe distance (plus the socks over trackies is really quite practical)!!

DaniB
Like anywhere in the UK you get some neds but Glasgow is full of things to do, places to go and the people are dead friendly and most find the neds funny more than dangerous. It may get a bad rep but I have travelled and lived in other cities and I feel Glasgow is one of the better cities to live.

♥ caroline ♥
It's the same as any other large city I think. You get good and bad everywhere. I have stayed in Glasgow all my life and would say that on the whole that it is a fairly decent place to live in, although of course there are neds.
