Inverness is a very small city . There are pubs and discos but I don't think there is much fun in the town. Everything closes by 6 in the evening.

VK, everything does not close by 6pm!!! Lol, what makes you say that? Inverness is a nice place, steeped in "Scottishness" with loads of really good shops (big shopping centre opened not that long ago - Eastgate), loads of pubs (try Johnny Fox's) and dozens of good places to eat. If it's history you're after, there's lots to see and do too. It's cold at this time of year though, so wrap up well!! Yeah, Inverness is nice. :-)

Yes Inverness is a lovely place. Quite small and very friendly with good restaurants and bars. You will like it and the scenery is wonderful. Half an hour's drive takes you to Aviemore, ski-ing or husky sledging (usually second last week in January). Aviemore is perhaps more suited to the young. Anyway if you go to Inverness you will find something you like.

Well I went to the Multiplex there ,But it looked quite a busy little city ,That Part of Scotland is wonderful but like other posts said ,Its better in the Summer ,The Highlands are all about Walking and Scenery ,But I would imagine Inverness being the city it would have Clubs

I think it is delightful. But then perhaps I was won over for ever by the fact that when I first arrived there I was treated ti a private performance of some Highland songs and dances in a glade by slightly eccentric young man and I felt that this was the kind of town where the unexpected could happen!

mowhokman
depends on what you want to do. there is a lot of pubs and a few clubs. there is also a theatere (eden court) also there is the ironworks for gands and the like. Loch ness is only about 15 mins away by car 30 or so mins by bus.

Depends what you're used to and what you're into. I thought it was a hole in the ground to be honest.
