No. I think the nursery rhyme comes from London Bridge collapsing a few times whilst they were building it. No doubt, it probably killed a few of the builders.

Not only did it come down , brick by brick !1 but it was then shipped to the states somewhere and reassembled However they thought that they had purchase Tower Bridge and were somewhat disappointed to find out otherwise

No....the old London Bridge was demolished in 1831, all that's left is this alcove/bus stop thing. The current London Bridge is doing quite well.
