Paisley is OK but the Ferguslie part of it is Chav land, best avoided.

Yes
except Ferguslie Park - although it has improved over the years it may be a bit of a shock to the system for newbies

Feegie Park can be rough.

It's went downhill recently with the Braehead shopping centre opening lots of places closed or made in charity shops. There is areas to avoid like most places howvever by far the folk are fantastic and really friendly. Hence the name Paisley Buddies (Buddies means friends)

Parts of it are, parts aren't. Keep away from the west end and stick to the main parts. If you venture out on a weekend to a pub or club you will more than likely see some kind of fight going on or some really scary looking neds. I have been out both in Paisley and Glasgow and I definately feel safer in Glasgow than I do in Paisley.

Dress wear "Body Armour" does that give you a clue?

As with most large towns, it depends where you go. Ferguslie Park is one of the least salubrious areas but there are perfectly safe and respectable places, too.

If you go there, follow your usual instincts and don't wander about alone after dark. Common sense really.

no no no!

Mariska
*Yes, very safe. If you want to party, go to the park in the dark.
