Not fed up at all.
I have made a huge amount of money in property and pension investments. I will never have to starve or want for any basic comfort. I have been able to stay in my job by default and have not been forced out of it by irrational hatreds and bigotry.
I am surrounded by my cultural kin who accept me without question. I don't have to suffer insults when I leave my home or ever feel I don't belong. I can look my neighbours in the eye and not see suspicion.
I will get jobs ahead of ethnic minority people because I am favoured...or more relevantly...they are not. I will never have to wake up in England and feel that I am second best in any way because my skin is white. I won't have to try twice as hard because I have an accent that is not British. Nor will I ever have to achieve anything but the minimum necessary...I just have to 'fit in'.
Why would anyone be fed up with the UK?...Why?........... |

I came to the UK from British Columbia-suits me better here! I could not find a steady, decent job back there and I was stuck in a real rut because of the huge distances everywhere. I never went on holidays because anything interesting was WAY out of my price range, and also because the employers are really scabby--you only get a week or two leave and it's not on full pay either.
I have been to the US, and wouldn't live there either--not my cup of tea. Canada is definitely better in my opinion. As for Australia-I've found most Aussies, though friendly, to be a bit to rough and ready for me.
I quite like the west of Ireland, slower pace, lots of history--and I've heard writers don't pay income tax there!
Switzerland is also quite appealing & new Zealand, but both are hard to get into, and NZ is too darn far anyway.
so I'll stay where I am thanks. |

I've never been there but I've always wanted to visit.
I would never live there.
I live in British Columbia. Lakes, trees, mountains, oceans, islands, and only 4 million people in a province three times the size of all the British Isles. I wouldn't live anywhere else. |
