Yes, its not too bad here, a bit expensive but I don't know of any other city where you can drive for 15 minutes and be in the middle of the countryside without any hints to the city you left behind.
We have our fare share of tossers but as long as you know the places to avoid you can steer clear of the worst of them!

Parts of it are like everywhere else- good and bad. It can be expensive and it can be dirty- i was born and bred in Bristol so its my home, but given choice i would doubt that i would go back there to live- outskirts maybe. The people are (or used to be anyway) friendly with a fab sense of humour. Why not go and spend some time there and see if you like it.

angel77
Yeah, lived here for 18 years, never wanna go anywhere else. like london, but friendly!

Bristol_Gal
Too right! I moved to Bristol when I was 18 but left in 2002 for 3 years. I hated being away and missed all my friends along with the fast pace but the quick escape to the countryside.

I will never leave Bristol to live anywhere else in the UK. I would only leave to move abroad but would come back as often as possible to see everyone again.

I love this city!

I would say ıts about rıght.
many busınesses have relocated thıer head offıces there so works good if you need it.
its not too bıg that you feel trapped lıke London yet it has enough going on in and around ıt. Clifton is the classy area also you have Bath near by. pubs are good around the docks plenty of life there.
lots of history as ıt was the centre of the industrıal age and the controversial slave trade. Ashton Courts a good place to escape
İ live a few mıles south of Bristol (most of the time) but have spent a good few years livıng and working there .

BIG D
