You'll be fine. The tubes have so many cameras that there's no need to worry once you'rew on the tube. And walking to the tube there will be all the other people from the gig walking with you so it's not like you'll be walking down a dark street on your own. Just keep your wits about you and dont look too lost. It's not that rough so just enjoy the gig. |

I think some of the answers here border on the scaremongering in terms of their descriptions of Elephant and Castle (underpasses a rapists dream? - there is no record of any rapes yet alone multiple rapes in recent years in these underpasses). There have been a few rapes a little further south in Kennington, notwithstanding, if you were my 16 year old daughter I would make sure I either picked you up myself or gave you enough money for a cab home, not just from E&C but from anywhere, why? because too many kids are getting stabbed/shot to death at night right now. |

Yes I live around here...Its kinda rough...The tube station itself is so dirty, the shopping centre is archaic lol...but you've got Waterloo which is near and London Bridge so you could have a walk...Apart from that you got some nice restaurants and all... |

well no where in london safe but why dont you see if you could get some friends to come with you, or an adult bascaly if you havent been in that area and dont know it well you may feel uncomfortable but everyones different talk to your parents or friends see what they think but dont get to stressed couldnt you go home with a mate and stay at theres it might be more fun anyway. good luck and have a nice time. |

I used to go to Elephant and Castle shopping centre during the daytime and I would be nervous - I felt intimidated on a number of occasions. I don't need to do it any more and its a relief. Make sure you get a taxi home, its not worth risking your neck just for an evening of fun. Make sure that the taxi is a licensed cab too. |

You should get a cab home sugar because getting to the tube might involve using those awful underpasses whcih are a rapists dream come true. |

It can be a bit dodgy, just be careful. The tube should be OK, but I would like to reinforce what a previous poster said about using the underpasses. I never even use these during the day.
Remember, after the gig a lot of people will be leaving at the same time, so hopefully there will be a lot of people going to the tube station. |

Dont go on the tube by yourself late at night. Make sure your phone is charged up, dont flash around mp3 players/ipods phones jewellery etc.
Be careful!
Better than that, get a licensed cabbie home! |

not that rough but not a good idea to catch the tube anywhere alone at night at that age. |

I wouldn't recommend to any 16 year old that they go on the tube late at night on their own ANYWHERE in London, much less Elephant and Castle! Save your life, get a licensed cab. |

reputation worse than reality, but a 16 year old should get a taxi home from anywhere in london after the rush hour |

You will need an escort if it is after 8pm. |
